HP unveils Split X2 laptop tablet hybrid with intel Core i processors

HP has unveiled split X2 which is a laptop tablet hybrid. Looking similar to HP Envy X2, the device is much better than it. The device is going to launch in August in the United States at a price of $799.99.

Unlike traditional laptop tablet hybrids, Split X2 doesn’t operate on Atom processor. It is powered by Intel 3rd generation Core I3 or I5 processors. It sports a 13.3 inch screen with a resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels. The device runs on Windows 8 platform.

Split X2 comes with 128 GB SSD built into the screen. There is an optional 500 GB spinning hard drive in the keyboard base. The RAM is only 2 GB, but the user has an option to expand it.

Split X2 features an 8 MP rear shooter capable of recording full HD videos along with a front facing camera. There are two batteries in the device; one in the screen and the other inside the keyboard. So, battery backup is going to be better.
