Samsung Galaxy Mega phones available for Rs.25,100 and Rs.31,490 in India

 

Samsung has launched its Galaxy Mega series in India. Galaxy Mega 5.8 will be available for Rs.25,100 while Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be available for Rs.31,490. The phones were announced few months ago and were launched abroad. Now, they are available in India too. The phones are getting fame because of their bigger screen size in comparison to any other traditional smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 sports a 5.8 inch qHD screen (540 X 960 pixels resolution).  The phone has a 1.4 GHz dual core processor and operates on Android 4.2 (Jelly bean).  The internal memory is merely 8 GB that can be expanded further upto 64 GB with an external memory card. The RAM is 1.5 GB. The phone features an 8 MP primary camera along with a 2 MP front camera. The battery power is 2600 mAh.

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 has a 6.3 inch HD (720 X 1280 pixels resolution) screen. The phone has a 1.7 GHz dual core processor. The phone’s internal memory is 16 GB that can be expanded further upto 64 GB by an external memory card. Mega 6.3 has 3200 mAh battery. The rest of the features are similar to that of Galaxy Mega 5.8.

Lava Iris 458q, the cheapest quad-core processor Android phone in India

Lava is again in the news with the launch of its cheapest quad core processor smartphone. Lava has launched Iris 458q that is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and is available for Rs.8,999.

The phone features a 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480 X 854 pixels. The best point is that it runs on latest Android 4.2 (Jelly bean). The phone’s internal memory is merely 4 GB that can be increased upto 32 GB with an external memory card. The Ram is disappointingly 512 MB. So, you will not get a very smooth performance from the phone.

Lava Iris 458q features an 8 MP primary camera with auto-focus, face detection and LED flash. There is a VGA front camera too for video calling. You can record HD videos with the primary camera.

From connectivity point of view, the phone has 3G, EDGE, micro USB, Bluetooth v3 and A-GPS. The phone has a 2000 mAh battery that gives a talk time of 10 hours on 3G network.

Panasonic P 51 features and price in India

After launching a successful range of Smart TVs in India, Panasonic has entered the field of smartphones with its P 51. Panasonic has launched its first dual sim Android phone in the Indian market. Targeting the youths in the country, the phone is priced at Rs.26,990.

Panasonic P 51 sports a 5 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. The screen is scratch-resistant as it is made up of Asahi Dragontail glass. The phone comes with a stylus for easing writing and drawing efforts.
