BSNL has launched its first feature loaded phablet in
collaboration with Champion Electronics. The device called the Trendy 531 will
be available in Indian market at a price of Rs.13,999. It is a dual-sim phablet
with free 500 MB 3G data per month for one year by BSNL.
Trendy 531 sports a 5.3 inch capacitive touch screen display
with unknown resolution. Looking at the resolution of existing phones in the
market in the same price range, it should have at least HD (1280 X 720 pixels)
resolution. It operates on Android 4.2 (Jelly bean) which is obviously not the
latest version.
The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor along
with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the phone is 4 GB which is expandable
up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. The phone has a 13 MP rear camera with auto
focus and LED flash. There is also a 5 MP front camera for video calling.
The phone has connectivity options like 3G, EDGE, Bluetooth
and Wi-Fi. It comes with a 3200 mAh battery that’s back up and talk time has
not yet been disclosed by the company.
